This file system hosts the work directories for running on the NEC SX-ACE.

The work file system of utilizes file staging to transfer data from/to home. An IOserver is connected to four M300 iStorage's via FC. 128 client nodes of the SX-ACE form an partition. They are connected to two IOservers in active-active fail-over (the two are connected to the same 4 iStorage RAID6), these nodes can achieve up to 8 GB/s. One client node can achieve 1 GB/s. Peak bandwidth of the network is 8 GB/s for one partition of and 320 GB/s for all 40 partitions. Each server is connected to the central switch via a 10 GbE connection.
